This post is in regards to a Facebook post I was on. I thought it would be best to answer as a blog post. My answer is a bit long for Facebook, but I believe this is important enough that it needs to be addressed.

The Battle for Your Soul is not a book intended to force my beliefs on anyone. Each of us is free to decide who or what we will worship. It is our inalienable right from God, our Creator.

Inalienable rights are, “rights that are not alienable,” “Rights that are not transferable or capable of being taken away or nullified.” The word, “alienable” means, “Transferable to another’s ownership.” So what are “rights”? Rights are defined as, “things that one is morally or legally entitled to do or have.”

These rights are listed “in” the Constitution, however, the do not come “from” the Constitution, they come from God, our Creator. No one can supersede God’s authority; He is “I am”, the “Alpha and Omega,” the beginning and the end – the whole of all things.

In the larger “plan” the short time we are on Earth is minuscule compared to eternity. If you have ever lost a loved one you know these bodies will eventually end. Only our soul, that which makes us, us –unique, continues in eternity. This is where our priority should be, not on “religion.” Religion is a word assigned to what God has given us freely.

Jesus said, “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. [NKJV Matthew 10:32,33] I am not one who wears jewelry much, but “hiding” a cross worn to proclaim your love of God is not something I feel we should do. Our rights end where another’s begins, and their rights end where our rights begin. If someone wants to wear a cross or a pentagram, it is their choice. No one has the right to forbid them or demand they hide it or take it off. In the case of the pentagram I believe they have made a very bad choice, but it is their decision not any else’s. The problem is these others want to interfere with our right to choose. They want the “right” to decide what we can or cannot wear. Again, this is not their prerogative, it is ours.

Some say we are able to worship how and where we want. Some Christians can, but not every Christian can. A British government report states, “80% of the people prosecuted are Christians.” A pastor in Fredericksburg, Virginia may be evicted from a senior’s home for hosting a Bible study class. [I was not able to determine the final outcome of this story. The article is from 2018.] This is not the only story I have read referencing persecution due to hosting a Bible study class. Other “prosecution” activities can be found on this website. https://firstliberty.org/cases-status/active/. There are other sites as well that address Christian prosecution. Very few, if any, news articles will ever be found on the mainstream media news networks.

Does it have to impact each of us personally, physically, before we stand up as Christians? Does our “perspective” have be when we can no longer pray in public, worship in public, or display our faith in God in public, before we realize our “perspective” is misplaced? The perspective from our heads in the sand is a pretty dark perspective.

As a soldier who spent more time than I care to recall in war, I can tell you no solider, sailor, or marine wants war. At least not those, like me, who have seen the devastation of war, or who have lost those we care about in war. However, peace can only be achieved when both sides wants peace. If only one side of the battle wants peace there will not be peace. I assure all of you the, “principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” [KJV Ephesians 6:12] do not want peace. So, even if we want peace there will not be peace. Paul tells us to, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” [Ephesians 6:11].

It is interesting to note, Muslim women have no, to very few, rights in Muslim countries. How do I know? I was in those countries, I have seen it. There are some minor changes occurring in some of the largest cities over there, but not many cities or changes. Women cannot even talk to a male over there, not without another male family member present. Women must take the kids and enter restaurants through separate doors. They are the last to eat (order of serving males, children, and then women). Women cannot own property, attend school, and a host of other restrictions without threat of punishment or even death. A Muslim woman who commits adultery is stoned to death – yes, even now. In a Muslim country the article that began this discussion would have never taken place, because a woman would not dare speak to a male, much less say she was “offended” by a simple cross.

A person’s spiritual choice is their inalienable right given by God and God alone. I believe some folks have made some poor choices. We all have made some poor choices at various points in our lives. However, that is their choice to make. I pray they understand the potential cost of their choice. Many bad choices we make on Earth are short-term; a bad choice with regards to our soul is one that is forever. Many folks cannot comprehend this, but they will.

The Battle for Your Soul is intended to help folks survive the “Deep State Attack” which I believe is satan’s attack on God and His people.

Everyone has a choice as to where they place their spiritual readiness. The Bible states in the “end times” society will deteriorate and it will be as in the days of Noah. It is my belief, those times are here. I think Joshua said it best, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, chose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. [Joshua 24:5 KJV]

Aaron Tippin’s song, “You’ve got to stand from something,” I believe states this best. “You have to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.” I believe too many Christians do not stand as they should and are falling for anything – or are in danger of falling for anything. Whether we like it or not, war is coming. Whose side will you be on – God’s or satan’s? Yes, the choice is yours. I pray you choose wisely.
